NBS-ITE PINNING CEREMONY 2026: CELEBRATING THE NEXT STAGE FOR FUTURE EDUCATORS
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) conducted the Pinning Ceremony of the Institute for Teacher Education (ITE) on February 4, 2026, at the NBSC Covered Court. With the theme “Hiraya Manawari: Anchored in Purpose, Driven by Passion,” the program was facilitated by Master of the Ceremony Ms. Mary Ann Charmaine O. Tapulayan-Dumana.
The ceremony began with a processional, followed by an opening message from Dr. Christine C. Royo, ITE Program Head. Dr. Jonel C. Murillo, ITE Instructor, then explained the significance of the pin, situating the activity within the institute’s academic framework. The pinning proper followed, during which the candidates were formally recognized in the presence of faculty members and guests.
Afterward, Mr. Jovenel B. Dadulla, MA, ITE Instructor, introduced the guest speaker, Ms. Christine T. Landayan, LPT, an NBSC-ITE alumna who ranked seventh nationwide in the September 2025 Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). In her keynote address, Landayan reflected on the significance of the ceremony, stating, “This ceremony is not simply a tradition; it is a meaningful reminder of how far you have come and how much responsibility you are about to carry.”
The presentation of certificates followed the address. The Educators’ Pledge was led by Ms. Sophia Dalu-an Sombrio, Batch Hiraya Public Relations Officer, while the Educators’ Response was delivered by Mr. Joshua Mikko R. Quiño, Batch Hiraya President. The program concluded with a closing message from Dr. Dulce Amor S. Loquias and a musical performance of “Try Everything” by ITE Batch Hiraya.
The ceremony marked a new stage for the students, highlighting the path they have followed and the steps that lie ahead. This milestone reflects NBSC’s culture of collaboration and purpose that shapes its community.
